About

Since the dawn of popular music, songs have been mislabeled.  Radio announcers understandably don’t announce every song that plays on their station, therefore leading people to believe that a song may be by another artist due to a similarity in sound.  Despite the fact that we are now readily able to search a song’s lyrics online to properly attribute the song, the problem persists.  In fact, its amplified by P2P file sharing networks, as that one little mistake is distributed to thousands in a matter of seconds.  It’s a shame that artists don’t gain royalties from illegally distributed mp3’s, but they at least deserve credit for their own songs.  I set up this blog to rectify some common mistakes in the hopes that people will begin to properly edit their ID3 tags before they upload them onto a p2p or bittorrent program.
